About Dr. Franklin II

Gregory Franklin II, MD, is a board-certified physiatrist and is fellowship-trained in Interventional Spine and Musculoskeletal Medicine. He practices at the Sandy Springs and College Park locations of Polaris Spine & Neurosurgery Center, serving the Atlanta, Georgia, metropolitan area. 

Dr. Franklin earned his undergraduate degree in biological sciences at Clemson University. He completed medical school (MD) at the Medical University of South Carolina and his residency training at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC) Hospitals. He did his fellowship training at the Medical University of South Carolina, where he also served as faculty clinical instructor.

His goal is to decrease pain and restore functional ability so that his patients can get back to the life that they want to live. He uses a comprehensive approach to treat the whole patient and specializes in non-operative interventions to treat the spine and other musculoskeletal disorders.

Dr. Franklin has won numerous awards during his academic and professional career. He is a member of several prestigious organizations such as the Spine Intervention Society, the North American Spine Society, and the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

In his spare time, Dr. Franklin enjoys spending time with his wife, traveling, and exploring the Atlanta area. He also enjoys staying up-to-date with the latest advances in medical research, mentoring students, lecturing, and giving back to the community.
